Gary Earl Johnson is born in Minot, ND to Earl (teacher) & Lorraine (Bureau of Indian Affairs).

1971

Gary graduates from Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he was on the track team.

Johnson enrolls in University of New Mexico and joins the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Johnson graduates from University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in political science.
